Position title: Teaching Fellow
Salary range: See Table 18 for the salary range for this position. Salary is based on an annual full-time salary of $80,712. Teaching Fellows will not be appointed for more than 50% time during the Fall & Spring semesters.
Percent time: 25% - 50% OR Up to 100% in summer session only
Anticipated start: Summer 2025 - May 17, 2025;
Fall 2025 - August 15, 2025;
Spring 2026 - January 1, 2026
Position duration: Duration may be up to one semester or a summer term.
Position descriptionThe School of Engineering anticipates hiring Teaching Fellows for lower- and upper-division courses for Academic Year , including Summer Session 2025, in the following disciplines:
Mechanical Engineering
Engineering Fundamentals (courses may include the following:
Introduction to Materials, Statics and Dynamics, Circuit Theory, Thermodynamics, Heat Transfer, Strength of Materials, Spatial Analysis, Information Systems, etc.)
Under supervision of a faculty member, the Teaching Fellow will be responsible for leading instruction of a course. Additional duties may include grading, leading discussion sections when appropriate and holding office hours.
