• Under the direction of the appropriate Dean, this position is a part-time temporary instructional faculty assignment.
• Provide instruction in accordance with approved Imperial Valley College curriculum, established course outlines, and as assigned based on college needs.
• Conduct classes, prepare course material, evaluate student learning outcomes, and assess student learning.
• Maintain accurate records of grades, syllabi, attendance reports, and submit them according to published deadlines.
• Adhere to professional conduct and ethics standards appropriate to the position.
• Advise students on academic matters.
• Maintain competency in the accounting field.

• Master's degree in accountancy or business administration with an accounting concentration, OR
  • Bachelor's degree in business with accounting emphasis, or business administration with accounting emphasis, or economics with an accounting emphasis AND a Master's in business, business administration, business education, economics, taxation, finance or equivalent.
• Submission of college transcripts showing degree awarded or conferred with completion date, and a complete description of work experience.
• Sensitivity to and understanding of the diverse academic socioeconomic, cultural, disability, and ethnic backgrounds of community college students (AB 1725, 87360a).
• CPA license is an alternative qualification for a bachelor's degree in accountancy or business administration with an accounting concentration.
