Job Description & DutiesThis position is located at Richard J. Donovan Correctional Facility in San Diego County. Apprentices will report to the Supervisor of Vocational Instruction. The instructor will train incarcerated individuals in welding trade and vocational skills necessary for employment and to develop socially acceptable attitudes and interests.
Maintain communication primarily through email. Applicants should have a valid email address.
Individuals eligible for a Training and Development assignment may also be considered for this role.
Responsibilities- Deliver welding instruction to inmates in accordance with established training guidelines.
- Assess student performance and adjust instruction to meet learning objectives.
- Ensure safety compliance and maintain a safe work environment.
- Prepare instructional materials and maintain accurate records.
- Collaborate with supervising staff to evaluate program effectiveness.
