Francis Howell School District is seeking dedicated retired educators to join our substitute teaching team. This opportunity is exclusive to retirees of the district.

Retired substitute teachers will deliver instruction and maintain a positive classroom environment in the absence of the regular teacher, reporting to the building principal at the assigned school.

• Valid Missouri teaching certificate issued by DESE.
• Successful completion of an FBI criminal history background check, including fingerprinting.

Retired certified teachers will receive a daily rate of $222. When substituting in their former non-certified position, they are paid their hourly rate at retirement or the current entry-level rate, whichever is higher.

For positions from which they did not retire, hourly rates are as follows:

• Cafeteria Aide: $15.59/hr
• Custodian: $15.67/hr
• Administrative Assistant (Guidance, Secretary, Front Desk): $16.23/hr
• Administrative Assistant (Activities): $18.12/hr
• Administrative Assistant (Site Admin): $18.83/hr
• Para, Personal Assistant, Classroom Assistant: $16.85/hr
