Position title: Lecturer
Salary range: $70,977 estimate for an initial appointment. These are academic year appointments subject to normal review processes. Salary is prorated per instructional workload.
Anticipated start: Academic Year: 7/1/2025 – 6/30/2026
Fall Semester: 8/1/2025 – 12/31/2025
Spring Semester: 1/1/2026 – 5/31/2026
Position duration: 2025‑26 academic year (limited‑term).

The School of Natural Sciences will hire full‑ and part‑time lecturers to teach the following courses during AY 2025‑2026:
- Introductory Physics I (Physical Sciences)
- Introductory Physics II (Physical Sciences)
- Introductory Physics I (Biological Sciences)
- Introductory Physics II (Biological Sciences)
- Other courses as needed
The instructor will also evaluate student work and exams, calculate and post grades, and hold regularly posted office hours each week. This appointment is governed by the UC‑AFT Lecturers Unit agreement and UC policy.

Appointments for AY 2025/2026 and/or Fall 2025 semester are reviewed in April, and for Spring 2026 in October. The posting remains open through February 2026 to accommodate upcoming course needs and new applicants.

QualificationsBasic qualifications: Advanced degree in Physics (or related field) and college‑or‑university‑level teaching experience required.
