Overview
Temporary Faculty Pool, Assistant Women’s Track and Field Coach — Department of Intercollegiate Athletics, California State University, Dominguez Hills (CSUDH).
The CSUDH Athletics Department invites qualified applicants for a pool of Assistant Women’s Track and Field Coach appointments. The position supports the Women’s Track and Field program in accordance with NCAA, CCAA, and University rules, policies, and regulations.
Position DescriptionThe assistant coach is responsible for assisting with the operations of the Women’s Track and Field program, including duties related to coaching, mentoring student-athletes, and program administration in alignment with institutional guidelines.
Responsibilities- Recruiting student-athletes.
- Scheduling practices and meets; planning and organizing team activities.
- Fundraising and promoting intercollegiate athletics.
- Monitoring academic performance of student-athletes.
- Other duties as assigned by the head coach.
- Bachelor’s degree or relevant experience required.
- Experience working with undergraduates from diverse age, socioeconomic, cultural, and academic backgrounds.
- A Master’s degree.
Background check:
Satisfactory completion of a background check (including a criminal records check) is required for employment. CSU will make a conditional offer of employment, which may be rescinded if the background check reveals disqualifying information, and/or it is discovered that the candidate knowingly withheld or falsified information. Failure to satisfactorily complete the background check may affect the continued employment of a current CSU employee who was conditionally offered the position.
Information
Initial salary for COACHING ASSISTANT - 12 MONTH is based on professional experience and education. As of July 2024, the classification salary range is COACH ASST-12 (Job Code 2382): $6,288 - $7,658. An excellent comprehensive benefits package is available to benefit-eligible appointments, including health/vision/dental plans, fee-waivers, campus child-care, and a defined-benefit retirement through the state system with optional tax sheltering opportunities.
