Overview
The Pediatric Neurology Division of the Janet Weis Children’s Hospital at Geisinger Medical Center has an opening for a pediatric neurologist to join our dedicated team. This collegial group provides comprehensive and compassionate care to children in central and northeast Pennsylvania. The department offers advanced neuromuscular care, a comprehensive epilepsy program, specialized headache care, a pediatric sleep center, and genetic testing and counseling programs.
The successful candidate will be actively engaged in teaching pediatric residents, pediatric neurology residents, and medical students, with opportunities for research. Geisinger provides an intellectually stimulating environment and the Janet Weis Children’s Hospital serves as the tertiary pediatric center for Geisinger Health System. Our care team collaborates across more than 30 medical and surgical disciplines, including neonatal and critical care, neurology, cancer, diabetes, GI disease, infectious disease, and heart/lung disorders.
- Inpatient and outpatient coverage
- Approximately 8 weeks of inpatient coverage annually
- Level IV NICU
- Telemedicine visits
- Large team of twelve physicians and three advanced practice providers
- Core Faculty appointment within pediatric neurology residency
Education:
Doctor of Medicine or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (Required)Licensure:
Licensed Medical Doctor – State of Pennsylvania
