Golden and District Hospital — Locum to Permanent Obstetrical Surgical Coverage (OSS) or Locum Enhanced Surgical Skills (ESS). Contact:

Immediate start available in Golden, BC. Golden is a vibrant community in the Canadian Rockies offering outdoor recreation and a collaborative healthcare environment. We invite physicians trained in performing cesarean sections to join the Golden Medical Clinic and Golden and District Hospital as part of a close-knit, multidisciplinary team committed to exceptional patient care. A flexible schedule and work–life balance are emphasized.

We currently function with two enhanced surgical skilled physicians and one obstetrical surgical trained physician. We are seeking a fourth surgical call provider trained in obstetrical care. Call schedule is 1 in 4, with team collaboration and mutual support on cases.

Start Date:

Immediate availability. Short-Term Locum Period required prior to long-term recruitment to ensure fit for both the candidate and the team.

Compensation and additional opportunities are described below.

• Participate in obstetrical surgical care as part of a multidisciplinary team.
• Assist with call coverage (approximately 1 in
  4).
• Perform vacuum-assisted vaginal delivery.
• Perform cesarean sections.
• Optional: dilation and curettage (D&C).
• Collaborate with two enhanced surgical skilled physicians and one obstetrical surgical trained physician to provide a supportive environment.

• Physicians trained in performing cesarean sections.
• Ability to perform vacuum-assisted vaginal deliveries.
• Willingness to participate in a team-based, collaborative practice.
• Eligible for licensure/credentialing as applicable to practice in Golden, BC (not specified in original text).

• Family medicine practice paid through the Longitudinal Family Physician (LFP) Payment Model, in addition to emergency shifts.
