Family Medicine Physician - Outpatient Clinic in Accelerated St. Louis Suburb

Role - Family Medicine Physician for a brand-new clinic in Winghaven/O'Fallon, Missouri, just 30 minutes west of St. Louis. BJC Medical Group is a physician-led organization with a robust onboarding program, collegial environment, and outstanding retention.

• 100% outpatient primary care practice in a free-standing newly renovated space
• Clinic will have imaging, lab, non-oncology infusion, and ortho on-site
• Opportunity for mentorship
• 36 patient facing hours, Monday through Friday with schedule flexibility

• After hours call provided by nurse triage and Virtual Care Center providers

• Manages the medical care of patient panel by providing or otherwise arranging for inpatient hospital care of the physician’s patients, either through regular hospital rounds or by arranging coverage with hospitalists or other qualified physicians in line with Medical Staff requirements.
• Collaborates with patients, families, and care team members to ensure excellent patient care outcomes at the clinic location(s) designated by BJC and any other BJC clinical outreach location as needed.
• Performs and documents medical histories and physicals in the patient’s medical record as required by hospital medical staff bylaws.
• Provides or arranges for call coverage for clinic patients and inpatient call coverage in a manner acceptable to BJC and in accordance with Medical Staff bylaws, while following all BJC policies and procedures and applicable legal, ethical and professional standards.
• Collaborates and teaches advanced practice providers, support staff or any care team member assigned to the physician’s patient panel.
• BJC has determined this is a safety-sensitive position. The ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner is an essential function of this job.
