Role Description

AB design studio, inc. seeks a full-time Job Captain for an on-site role in Santa Barbara, CA. The Job Captain will be integral to the design process, assisting project teams in developing and delivering detailed architectural drawings and documents. Responsibilities include coordinating with consultants, managing project timelines, ensuring adherence to building codes and regulations, and supporting the overall success of projects.

Collaboration with designers, architects, and stakeholders will be key to effectively producing high-quality, buildable designs.

Qualifications
  • Proficiency in architectural design and drafting software (primarily Archicad)
  • Strong skills in project coordination, technical detailing, and creating construction documents
  • Understanding of building codes, permits, and regulatory requirements
  • Proven ability to collaborate within multidisciplinary teams and communicate effectively with clients and consultants
  • Attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and a commitment to producing high-quality work
  • Bachelor’s degree in Architecture or a closely related field
  • Licensed or on the path to licensure preferred
  • Experience in sustainable design and knowledge of materials is a plus
