Staff Designer; Junior Designer

We’re looking for a Staff Designer (often referred to as a Junior Designer in our industry) to join our team in San Francisco.

Staff Designer (Junior Designer) – Full‑time – Salary: $50-100k –

This is not an entry‑level position. This role is central to how our studio operates, and we’re looking for someone with at least two years of full‑time experience working at a reputable interior design firm. You’ll be trusted with real responsibility, expected to contribute meaningfully across multiple projects, and supported as you grow. If you’re technically strong, design‑driven, organized, and excited about being part of a collaborative studio, this could be a great fit.

• Produce construction and design documentation (floor plans, furniture plans, elevations, reflected ceiling plans, sections, and related drawings) with a high level of proficiency in AutoCAD.
• Support multiple projects at once, adjusting priorities as needed.
• Assist with finish plans, specifications, and material selections.
• Develop presentation materials, including mood boards, style guides, and layouts.
• Work in Sketch Up and Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign and Photoshop are used regularly).
• Participate in client meetings, site visits, installations, and photo shoots.
• Communicate clearly and professionally with clients, vendors, consultants, and contractors.
• Contribute positively to studio culture and day‑to‑day collaboration.
• Rendering experience, especially photo‑realistic rendering, is a strong plus and may impact compensation.

• Minimum 2 years of full‑time experience at a recognized interior design firm.
• Advanced AutoCAD skills are a must.
• Working knowledge of Sketch Up and Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign and Photoshop).
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Clear, confident communication and a service‑oriented mindset.
• Comfort working across multiple projects in a fast‑paced environment.
• A genuine love for interior design and the industry as a whole.
