Bracket Architecture Office is seeking full-time Architectural Designers at various experience levels. We’re growing and looking for collaborative, creative, solution-focused individuals who are passionate about exceptional design—tailored to each client, site, and community.
Ideal candidates have managed multiple small to medium-sized projects simultaneously. You should be able to translate design concepts into well-composed reality while managing project workflows. The ability to shift gears seamlessly between a wide variety of tasks is essential. We value highly motivated, detail-oriented team members who are cooperative problem solvers with strong work ethic and excellent communication skills. Sarcasm and a sense of humor are a plus.
Bracket Architecture Office specializes in custom design on the California Central Coast. We provide architectural services for residential and commercial clients across a broad range of project types and scales—including custom residential, multi-fam, mixed‑use, tenant improvements, interiors, hospitality, restaurants, adaptive reuse, and light industrial. Drawing on our deep technical proficiency, we create beautiful modern spaces that exceed our clients’ expectations.
Minimum Qualifications- Professional degree in Architecture from an accredited institution (compelling equivalent education will be considered).
- 2-7 years professional architectural experience with various project types (residential and commercial).
- Fluency in AutoCAD, Sketch Up, Enscape/Lumion, and Adobe Creative Cloud (additional proficiency in other programs such as Revit is a plus).
- Knowledge of current building codes, accessibility, and zoning regulations.
- Thriving in a fast‑paced work environment and executing through obstacles and deadlines with a positive attitude.
- Possess strong analog skills, be extremely organized, reliable, both independent and collaborative, and able to prioritize as required.
- Desire to continually learn new skills.
- Authorization to work in the United States.
- In collaboration with the broader team, design, coordinate, and execute multiple projects simultaneously from concept through completion.
- Based on experience, serve as the point of contact for consultants and/or clients, and produce/oversee a full set of design and construction drawings.
- Take initiative and direction with minimal ongoing supervision.
- $32-45 per hour based on experience.
- Performance bonus eligibility based upon individual and company performance criteria, established annually.

- Employees are expected to work in the office in San Luis Obispo, California. Project site visits and agency meetings occur on an as‑needed basis outside of the office.
- Employees regularly utilize a computer, including the use of a monitor, mouse, and keyboard. Individuals must have dexterity of hands and fingers to operate a computer keyboard.
