This role is for a Director of Design – Architecture position located in Orange County, CA. It focuses on driving innovative, high-quality designs across a range of large, world-class, award-winning projects. Our client is a top OC architecture firm seeking a creative leader to guide the design vision of one Architectural Studio in their Orange County office.

• Provide creative leadership and establish the design vision for key projects, ensuring excellence in aesthetics, functionality, and innovation.
• Lead and mentor design teams, fostering collaboration and professional growth.
• Oversee design processes from concept to completion, ensuring alignment with client goals and project requirements.
• Build and strengthen client relationships by presenting design concepts and guiding them through the design process.
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to integrate design and technical execution seamlessly.
• Promote sustainable and forward-thinking design principles to deliver cutting-edge solutions.
• Ensure designs comply with local regulations, codes, and permitting processes while meeting the highest quality standards.

• A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture or a related field.
• 10+ years of experience in architectural design, with at least 5 years in a senior or leadership role.
• A portfolio showcasing exceptional design work across various project types.
• Strong proficiency in software tools like AutoCAD, Revit, Adobe Creative Suite, and other relevant design platforms.
• Proven ability to lead and inspire multidisciplinary teams.
• Outstanding communication and presentation skills, with a client-focused mindset.
• Comprehensive knowledge of design principles, construction processes, and industry trends.

Compensation: $120,000 - $180,000
