Position

Our team is growing, and we are seeking to fill an opportunity at NDX Keller Dental Lab in Fenton, MO, for a Full-Time Dental Lab Technician Trainee. The regular hours for this position are from 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., Monday through Friday, and subject to change from time to time.

Primary Responsibilities And Essential Functions Of The Position
  • Read prescriptions and specifications received from dentist
  • Check set-ups for correct alignment and function before beginning waxing
  • Wax in anatomical features to achieve proper function and the best possible aesthetic appearance
  • Carefully clean on and around teeth to remove any excess wax to prevent excess acrylic on surfaces at packing
  • If the case is ready for finish, seal the wax-up to the model to prevent poor fit and poor appearance when acrylic stage is completed
  • Clean wax from models, articulators, and implant bars before shipping to make the most attractive case presentation possible for the doctor and patient
  • Rewax resets if adjustments are needed after try-in
  • Disinfect and bag completed cases in readiness for shipping. Put correct case number on bag to prevent mix-ups
  • Maintain a clean work area and clean instruments on a regular basis
  • All other duties as assigned
Skills And Abilities

Required
  • Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English
  • Excellent eye-hand coordination and manual dexterity
  • Detail oriented
Minimum Education And Experience Required
  • Preferred:
    High school diploma or GED equivalent
  • No experience required
Hazardous Materials Or Equipment Used
  • Small machinery
  • Hand-pieces
  • Chemicals
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to lift up to 20 pounds
  • Required to sit, stand, walk, and/or reach
  • Exhibit fine motor skills and/or perform repetitive motions
  • Read and interpret prescriptions and other required documentation
  • Ability to effectively communicate technical information
  • Vision capabilities: depth perception, attention to detail, and/or color
