Part-time or full-time, 30 to 40 hours/week. (Mon, Tue, Wed, Fri) 8:00 am – 4:30 pm.

• Perform adult and child prophylaxis, including cleaning deposits and stains from teeth below the gumline.
• Place sealants.
• Take digital x‑rays.
• Assist patients in feeling comfortable before, during, and after dental treatment.
• Educate patients on appropriate oral hygiene strategies (e.g., tooth brushing, flossing, nutritional counseling).
• Enter and maintain patient information using the agency's electronic dental record system.
• Communicate effectively with patients, staff, and supervisors to ensure an informed atmosphere.
• Maintain supplies and cleanliness at all times.
• Adhere to office policies and procedures protocols.
• Provide assistance in other areas of the dental clinic when needed.
• Provide community outreach services when needed, meet all job and safety requirements applicable to OSHA safety standards that pertain to essential functions and be bonded.
• Complete continuing education sessions, as required.
• Attend staff meetings and training sessions as required.
• Maintain proper licensure and/or certificates.
• Perform other related duties as assigned or requested.

• Current licensure in Ohio as a licensed dental hygienist.
• A minimum of two years’ experience as a licensed dental hygienist is preferred; however, individuals may be assessed on a case‑by‑case basis.
• Expanded Function Dental Auxiliary License a plus.
• Requires exceptional hygienist, communication, computer and customer service skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast‑paced environment.
