Job Description

Summary:

Provide efficient, accurate, and friendly service to customers. The Universal Banker will perform a variety of duties in processing banking transactions for both individual and business customers. The Universal Banker is also responsible for opening all new accounts while assisting in servicing and maintenance of accounts.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities of Teller Function

• Process multiple transaction types such as accepting checks for cash and deposit; verifying cash and endorsements; accepting savings and checking deposits; and issuing cashier checks.
• Maintain proper cash levels in drawers and keep cash secure.
• Responsible for daily balancing of cash drawer and handling over/short account per policy.
• Be knowledgeable and promote FMB’s services to customers.
• Ensure safe and sound banking practices, including adherence to all bank compliance, security and operational procedures and policies.
• Assist in opening and closing the branch, following all safety procedures.
• Maintain customer confidentiality.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities of Personal Banker Function

• Ensure financial transactions are completed accurately and efficiently, while complying with all policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
• Responsible for opening all new account products such as: checking, savings, certificates of deposit, individual retirement accounts, health savings accounts, business accounts, safety deposit boxes and debit cards.
• Research customer account issues and provide explanations as needed.
• Assist customers with debit card questions, maintenance and PIN changes.
• Provide wire transfer instructions to customers and send wire transfers.
• Maintain knowledge of consumer products and services, including related fees.
• Maintain customer confidentiality.
• Responsible for opening and closing the branch, while following all safety procedures.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous teller and customer service experience is preferred.
• High attention to detail along with good organizational and analytical skills.
• Cross selling experience is preferred.
• Ability to communicate and work well with employees and customers in a cooperative, positive manner.
• Ability to operate standard office equipment, such as, computer, adding machine, and copiers.

• Able to stand for extensive periods of time.
• Ability to lift 25 pounds.
• Frequent talking and listening and constant judgment and concentration.

Available Monday through Friday 7:40 am to 5:15 pm and rotating Saturdays 8:15 am to 12:15 pm for approximately 37-40 hours total per work week.
