We are seeking a creative and motivated Designer to join our team for an exciting new project
. This is a unique opportunity to help launch a brand from the ground up. The Designer will support the concept, design, and development process, bringing fresh ideas to market while ensuring each style is trend-right, brand-appropriate, and performance-driven.
This role is ideal for someone with a strong background in women’s active wear design who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is eager to be part of building something new.
Key ResponsibilitiesDesign & Development
- Contribute to the design of seasonal active wear collections from concept to final sample.
- Create sketches, CADs, and detailed tech packs to communicate design intent clearly.
- Research fabrics, trims, finishes, and innovations in performance wear.
- Ensure designs balance style, function, and commercial viability.
Collaboration
- Work closely with the Design Director and Senior Merchant to ensure alignment on design vision, brand positioning, and merchandising strategy.
- Work with cross-functional teams including buying, product development, and technical design to ensure alignment and timely execution.
Execution
- Ensure all design work adheres to seasonal calendars and deadlines.
- Review samples and make fit, fabric, and construction adjustments as needed.
- 3-5 years of professional experience in women’s apparel design, ideally with active wear, performance wear, or athleisure.
- Degree in Fashion Design, Apparel, or related field (or equivalent professional experience).
- Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and CAD design tools
. - Strong ability to create and update tech packs with accurate details.
- Solid understanding of garment construction, fit, and fabrications (especially performance fabrics).
- Experience collaborating cross-functionally with production, technical design, and merchandising teams.
- Experience with technical performance fabrics, construction methods, and finishing techniques specific to active wear.
- Familiarity with new and innovative materials in the active wear/performance space.
- Knowledge of contemporary fashion and lifestyle trends that influence active wear.
Candidates must submit a portfolio or work samples to be considered. A design assessment may be assigned.

Additional informationA reasonable estimate of the current base hourly/salary range for California is $88,000 - $90,000 per year.
