DescriptionMarkey's, a multi-state leading provider of creative audio-visual services, is seeking a Part-Time as Needed (PRN) Event Technician to add to our growing team in St. Louis. The Event Technician is a client-facing position responsible for setup, operation, maintenance, and strike of a variety of high-end AV equipment for both live & hybrid/virtual client meetings and events. Our shows are typically hosted at various venues in the Greater St.
Louis Area. At this time, we are hiring for Part-Time as Needed (PRN) positions that are hourly (non-exempt) and eligible for overtime.
- A good working knowledge of all types of Audio Visual equipment- including operation, setup, troubleshooting, and explanation of equipment’s use.
- Excellent customer service skills, politely and promptly responding to client needs.
- Ability to work in both a collaborative team environment, and independently.
- Ability to follow directions from the Project Manager or Crew Lead, and implement such tasks in a timely fashion.
- A high level of attention to detail, excellent time management skills, and ability to multi-task and prioritize work responsibilities.
- Ability to effectively/professionally interact and communicate with both internal and external clients.
- Ability to maintain a positive/professional appearance and attitude at all times.
- Ability to handle stressful situations in a positive/professional manner.
- Ability to embrace Markey’s culture, demonstrate company values, respect diversity, and follow all company policies and procedures.
- Must maintain a good driving record that meets driver insurability requirements, be able to pass a DOT medical certification, and must obtain any special licensing needed to be able to drive a box truck, van, or other company vehicle.
- Physical demands include frequent bending, pushing/pulling gear, and lifting up to 70 lbs.
