Position Summary
The Project Manager plays a key role in managing the day-to-day operations of roofing projects from start to finish. The Project Manager is responsible for coordinating with our Production Coordinator on ordering materials, scheduling buildings, overseeing project progress, documenting any additional work needed, and managing material returns. The ideal candidate will be organized, detail-oriented, and capable of handling multiple projects while maintaining clear communication between homeowners, crews, and suppliers.
This role is essential to ensure each roofing project is completed safely, efficiently, and to the high-quality standards our customers expect from our company.
- Review job scope to determine accurate material needs.
- Collaborate with the Production Coordinator to order materials from approved suppliers, ensuring correct quantities, colors, and specifications.
- Oversee delivery schedules to ensure timely arrival of materials on-site.
- Maintain records of all orders and deliveries for job tracking and inventory control.
- Work closely with suppliers to resolve order issues or delivery delays.
- Partner with Production Coordinator to schedule roof builds and coordinate timelines with crews, homeowners, and suppliers.
- Communicate project start dates, expectations, and potential changes to all parties involved.
- Adjust schedules as needed for weather delays or material availability.
- Keep the production calendar up to date and organized.
- Oversee ongoing jobs to ensure workmanship meets company and manufacturer standards.
- Conduct pre-job meetings with crews, when needed, to review the scope of work and special considerations.
- Serve as the point of contact for homeowners during installation, providing updates and addressing questions.
- Monitor job progress, address on-site concerns, and communicate updates with the team.
- Perform final inspections to confirm completion and customer satisfaction.
- Identify and document any additional work or materials needed that were not included in the original scope.
- Take clear photos and provide detailed notes for supplement requests when applicable.
- Submit supplement documentation to insurance or internal departments for review.
- Track and follow up on supplement approvals and payments.
- Coordinate the return of unused or excess materials to suppliers.
- Ensure all job sites are cleaned up and left in good condition after completion.
- Update job records to reflect any material returns or changes to job costs.
- Assist with final project documentation and ensure all files are complete before closing out each job.
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned or required to support team and organization goals.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in roofing, construction management, or project management.
- Strong understanding of residential roofing materials and installation practices.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and critical thinking skills.
- Proficient in basic computer applications and project tracking software.
- Ability to read and interpret job scopes, contracts, and blueprints.
- Proven history in managing multiple projects simultaneously and meeting deadlines.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to build trust and communicate clearly with homeowner and team members.
- Must be able to climb on roofs and lift up to 50 lbs. as part of your role.
- Must demonstrate a client-centric mindset.
- Valid driver’s license, a satisfactory driving record, and reliable transportation is required.
- Most work takes place on job sites, while some work is completed in the Highlandville, MO office.
- The standard workweek is Monday through Friday, with the flexibility to work weekends when necessary to support business needs.
- You must live in the Springfield, MO area to be considered for this opportunity.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus.
