Track Laborer - Ste. Genevieve, MO

R.J. Corman Switching Company is seeking a Track Laborer in Ste. Genevieve, MO to assist with the installation, inspection, and maintenance of railroad tracks.

Job Requirements:

• Previous railroad track construction preferred.
• Ability to operate power tools.
• Ability to communicate well with co-workers, customers, and supervisors.
• Qualified candidates will be required to travel.

Physical Requirements:

• Able to perform physical strenuous work
• Able to frequently bend, stoop, kneel, and crouch
• Able to lift and carry objects weighing up to 50lbs
• Requires occasional use of 30lb claw bar to remove spikes, requiring application of 50lbs of force
• Requires occasional use of 10lb sledge hammer to drive spikes, requiring application of 75lbs of force
• Able to walk, climb, and maintain balance on equipment, stairs, ladders, uneven terrain, rails and ballast in a safe manner
• Able to navigate into confined spaces if necessary

Environmental Conditions: Performs duties in multiple environments including outside construction project settings, in and around moving vehicles and equipment. Exposure to weather elements; must wear appropriate PPE required for the project site.
