Construction Logistics Specialist (Construction Logistics Specialist II)
KDG Construction Consulting is seeking a Construction Logistics Specialist to join our growing team. The role focuses on installing, monitoring, and maintaining temporary way finding systems across airport terminals, roadways, and pedestrian paths.
Responsibilities and Duties- Install, monitor, and maintain temporary way finding systems across terminals, roadways, and pedestrian paths.
- Ensure all way finding systems are up-to-date, aligned with project schedules, and effectively manage passenger flow while minimizing construction disruptions.
- Conduct daily site walks to assess the condition, efficiency, and effectiveness of signage, ensuring all temporary signs meet program standards and are correctly positioned.
- Make immediate field adjustments to way finding systems as necessary, maintaining an accurate and accessible navigation environment.
- Collect critical information, including photographs, measurements, and other visual data for program needs.
- Review project submittals, Phasing Plans, and Site Logistics Plans submitted through ASR and LIR processes for way finding impacts.
- Produce and install approved construction temporary and permanent way finding plans.
- Track sign removal, recycling, and maintenance to ensure signs are utilized appropriately.
- Assist with other production needs and areas as required, maintaining flexibility in a fast‑paced work environment.
- Provide ongoing support for temporary signage and way finding needs, ensuring consistent communication with airport personnel and the general public.
- Maintain general computer literacy and proficiency in Adobe Design Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator) and Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Familiarity with design plan reading, map interpretation, and schedule understanding within large‑scale construction environments.
- Experience with large‑format printing and sign production is an asset in producing high‑quality visual communication.
- 10 years or more experience, preferably on airport building programs or similar complex construction programs.
- Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Aviation, Business, Engineering, Construction Management, Planning or a related technical field (required). Master’s degree preferred.
- Optional certifications may include AAAE, LEED, PMP, PE, AICP, or any other relevant professional licensure or certifications.
