Key Responsibilities- Set daily work objectives that meet the schedule goals and communicate them to the crew while encouraging crew input in goal setting.
- Schedule and request needed personnel in conjunction with project management to ensure timely project completion.
- Determine and recommend improvements in methods, schedules, and procedures when practical.
- Inspect materials upon delivery to ensure compliance with quality standards and specifications.
- Ensure material is delivered to the construction site per established agreements and in a timely fashion.
- Meet contract specifications and company quality standards.
- Report daily crew, equipment, and material usage, as well as quantities of work completed.
- Report any extra work, back charges to subcontractors, or delays caused by the owner, utility company, or other parties.
- Perform other related duties as required by the position or as assigned by supervision.
- Travel as required; may include meetings, regular site construction support, training, etc.
- 3–5 years of experience as a working superintendent.
- Good written and verbal communication skills for interacting with team members, suppliers, and project stakeholders.
- Strong organizational, planning, and time‑management skills; ability to coordinate and prioritize multiple tasks concurrently.
- Driven and self‑motivated problem solver.
- Openness to learning new processes and procedures.
- Compliance with the company’s drug and alcohol abuse policy.
- Ability to pass a physical examination, including pre‑employment if required.
- Capability to climb and maintain balance on ladders, scaffolding, stairways, etc.
- Ability to stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, or work at elevated heights as well as in confined spaces.
- Ability to carry 50 lbs. of tools and/or materials; assistance recommended for lifting items over 50 lbs.
- Capability to stand or walk for long periods of time.
- Ability to work extended hours while on uneven surfaces (dirt, concrete, asphalt, mud, gravel, etc.).
- Ability to work while wearing a respirator and other personal protective equipment when required.

Highway and bridge construction sites and/or fabrication shop. - Mobility barriers to access the job site.
