, you will provide program oversight and direction with a specific county area, ensuring that program operations are of high caliber. You will foster the leadership abilities of program managers through reflective supervision and one‑on‑one coaching and mentoring. You will lead and model professionalism and teamwork within the county team and the agency by developing and maintaining supportive, professional relationships with children and their families.

This Position
We are interested in a Director of Program Operations, Professional Development with a Bachelor's or advanced degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or a related field (with at least 18 hours in ECE) from an accredited college/university recognized by the US Dept. of Education. We’re looking for someone with 5+ years experience working with children (birth‑5) and management experience. Experience with Head Start Performance Standards, Missouri Licensing Regulations, Infant/Toddler Responsive Care and Creative Curriculum preferred.
Ability to be CPR certified and acquire a Class E License is required.
This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, and filing cabinets.
Physically be able to lift at least 50 pounds, able to lift/carry children when appropriate. Must be mobile, able to get up and down from floor, stand and sit on floor within the classroom/socialization environment.

This is a salaried position with pay starting at $66,357/year.
