Position SummaryWe are seeking a detail-oriented Field Operations Specialist to join our Commercial Operations team. This role is responsible for maintaining field data accuracy, data stewardship, facilitating clear communication between headquarters and field teams, and coordinating field operations projects. This role requires strong attention to detail, effective communication skills, and project management experience.
Key Responsibilities- Field Data Integrity & Stewardship:
Review and ensure accurate and consistent field data across systems; steward data change management, processes, and validations; enforce data governance standards and ensure compliance; perform data audits and implement corrective measures; collaborate with cross functionally to optimize data processes.
- Collaboratively coordinate field-related projects; define project scope, timelines, deliverables, and documentation; coordinate cross-functional teams to meet objectives; track progress, mitigate risks, and report updates to leadership; manage the CIO Operational Calendar providing teams updates & proactively communicating to all stakeholders.
- Serve as the liaison between Field Operations and field teams; develop and distribute proactive communication materials; facilitate feedback from field teams to leadership; support communication for change management initiatives; manage operational training, instructions and reminders.
- Receive and mitigate operational inquiries from field teams regarding data/operations, partnering with CIO team members for full pull-through of mitigation recommendations; serve as the point of contact for field teams when there are system or data outages, maintaining proactive communication in a timely manner; elevate and concisely communicate with leadership when inquiries need to be elevated and become broader in nature.
Testing and Training Support
- Serve as a system/product test user to identify errors in data or functionality prior to the full implementation to field teams; provide support in creating training materials and business use cases to support field teams and deepen utilization of tools; create SOPs for new systems and processes in CIO supporting the internal team and key stakeholders.
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Data Management, Communications, or related field. Equivalent combination of education and applicable job experience may be considered.
- 3-5 years of experience in field/sales operations, data stewardship, commercial communications and/or project management.
- Strong understanding of pharmaceutical data sources (e.g., IQVIA, CRM data, field activity, HCP targeting).
- Experience with CRM, Tableau, or similar reporting platforms.
- Proficient in analytics tools such as Excel, Tableau, and Alteryx/SQL;
Veeva CRM or Salesforce experience strongly preferred. - Experience communicating with sales force teams and leaders.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to synthesize complex information for diverse audiences.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong interpersonal and organizational skills and excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong project management and organizational skills, PMP certification preferred.
- Experience using Alteryx is preferred.
- Ability to travel 15-20% domestic and internationally.
- All positions have an essential job function to be able to perform face to face work with colleagues and/or onsite in San Diego. No role is expected to be 100% remote.
