Specialist, Sourcing and Contracts

Venture Global LNG ("Venture Global") is a long‑term, low‑cost provider of American‑produced liquefied natural gas. The company’s two Louisiana‑based export projects service the global demand for North American natural gas and support the long‑term development of clean and reliable North American energy supplies. Using reliable, proven technology in an innovative plant design configuration, Venture Global’s modular, mid‑scale plant design will replace traditional designs as it allows for the same efficiency and operational reliability at significantly lower capital cost.

• Evaluate needs, negotiate with local vendors, and ensure timely delivery of materials while adhering to project specifications and budget constraints.
• Frequently interact with Project Management to identify and fulfill immediate requirements.
• Participate in daily site planning meetings to collect procurement requests and regularly assess material needs based on project progress and construction schedules.
• Develop and distribute requests for quotes, collect proposals, prepare and issue Purchase Orders, in line with the corporate Procurement Policy and Procedures.
• Use knowledge of sources and suppliers across the industry to find approved alternative sources to fulfill Project material aligned with project requirements, including quality, delivery time frames, and pricing.
• Collaborate with logistics teams to ensure timely delivery of materials to the project site.
• Provide regular updates on procurement activities, including requests out for quote, purchase orders issued, and other suppliers contacts made.
• Support the execution of Supplier Performance Management program execution.
• Maintain material purchase requests, supplier proposals, purchasing records, supplier feedback documentation as required per policy.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

• Associate degree or equivalent in business, supply chain, sourcing or related field.
• Knowledge of local suppliers and market dynamics to find the best sourcing options.
• Willingness to work on an active construction site.
• Experience with a computerized procurement system (SAP, Coupa, MS Office).
• Self‑starter with ability to work strategically under little direction.
• Ability to build relationships and engage with stakeholders across the organization.
• Strong knowledge of procurement procedures, sourcing practices, and construction processes.
• Ability to establish relationships with third‑party suppliers to facilitate material procurement.
• Attention to detail to ensure accuracy in purchase orders, specifications, and quality checks.
• Effective communication skills with suppliers, project managers, and field personnel.
• Ability to handle unexpected issues and find solutions on‑site.
• Perform other duties assigned.

Work Hours:

6AM – 4PM, Mon – Friday (overtime will be required)
