Regulatory and Strategic Analyst – Central States Water Resources
This is a key role responsible for implementing and further improving the processes of collecting, interpreting, and communicating information that is used throughout multiple different business processes by various internal and external stakeholders. This position will also be responsible for coordinating with legal counsels and various other 3rd parties to ensure business processes are running effectively and efficiently. This role involves both high level and tactical collaboration with Customer Experience, Communications, Engineering, Finance, Regulatory, Operations, and Leadership.
Additionally, this role includes analyzing regulatory requirements, coordinating with regulatory bodies, and implementing strategies to ensure adhesion to environmental standards. Finally, this position requires the ability to collaborate with cross‑functional teams while having the ability to organize and juggle multiple different functions simultaneously.
- Collecting, interpreting, and effectively communicating information on all aspects of water/wastewater utility operations.
- Ability to understand, and interpret, key financial statements such as income statements, balance sheets, cash flow statements, and annual reports.
- Conduct in-depth analysis of water and wastewater regulations at local, state, and federal levels.
- Coordinating responses to regulatory information requests to ensure consistency, accuracy, and timeliness.
- Monitor updates and changes in regulatory requirements and prepare acquisition cases across multiple operating units with varying requirements.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of regulatory requirements.
- Tracking and projecting key milestones across multiple operating units.
- Establishing and maintaining effective communication with key stakeholders (internal and external) to provide necessary information.
- Analyzing business processes to identify deficiencies and areas for improvement.
- Ensuring timely filings for regulatory compliance requirements.
- Documenting processes to ensure repeatability and accountability.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement in business processes.
- Ensuring stakeholder views are managed towards the best possible solutions.

- Analyst or Project Coordinator experience preferred
- Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Business Analysis, or related field
- Advanced skill in Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, SharePoint, and Outlook
