Area Sales Manager – Surface Stormwater
Summary: Responsible for managing all sales activities associated with ACO Drain, ACO Sport, ACO Infrastructure, ACO Oil Water Separators, Aquaduct, Building Drainage & Market product lines within a specific region. Create and execute an approved business plan for the assigned territory.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Monitor and direct territory sales performance.
- Exceed monthly and yearly sales budgets.
- Monitor ACO Distributor’s performance to ensure compliance with Distributor Agreements.
- Lead weekly review sessions with ISR & CSR; serve as the Sales Team Captain.
- Identify, track, manage, and close major projects within the region using Microsoft Dynamics.
- Search for new opportunities using available tools (Google, CMD, Linked In, etc.).
- Prepare and send submittal packages to ACO Distributor or Direct Buy customers after purchase orders are received.
- Establish product specifications with architects, engineers, and design/build firms.
- Analyze and communicate customer/client requirements to the ACO CS, BD, or Tech Service departments as appropriate.
- Provide the Marketing Department with photos and project worksheets for promotional purposes.
- Assist with customer problem resolution.
- Participate in budget planning for the region.
- Attend and set‑up trade shows.
- Travel up to 80% of the time; additional office time requires supervisor approval.

Full‑time. 80% Travel. Standard hours Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., with variations based on region and business demand.
Education and ExperienceBachelor’s degree from a four‑year college or university; or one to two years of related experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Eligibility Qualifications- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, or technical procedures.
- Ability to write reports and business correspondence.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
- Ability to present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the public.
- Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.
- Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where limited standardization exists.
- Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
- Ability to use MS Office software programs.
- Ability to manage data files efficiently.
- Ability to take photographs of products, product installations, etc.
- Ability to travel daily and spend most of the day in a vehicle.
- Ability to sit, stand, walk, and bend daily.
- Valid driver’s license and no major driving violations.
- Ability to operate a computer for 1–2 hours per day.
- Ability to lift product up to 50 lbs. occasionally.
