Salary: $6,031.00 - $7,547.00 per Month. New to State candidates will be hired into the minimum salary of the classification or minimum of alternate range when applicable.

Responsibilities

Under the direction of the Chief of Mental Health or Correctional Health Services Administrator II, the Analyst II gathers, researches, and analyzes information to resolve issues, responds to requests for information, and prepares or implements new policies and procedures. The Analyst II independently performs a wide variety of complex analytical duties requiring knowledge of Department regulations, policies, and procedures, good judgment, and effective communication.

Responsibilities include preparing reports and correspondence, collecting data, tracking information, monitoring systems, making recommendations to management, and implementing processes and procedures to support the institution s mission and goals.

Minimum Qualifications

Candidates who are within six months of satisfying the experience requirement will be admitted to the examination, but must fully meet the experience requirement before appointment.

Four years of work experience performing analytical, technical, clerical, and/or customer service duties. Academic education from an accredited college/university may be substituted for the required experience on a year-for-year basis; and

An additional year of professional analytical and/or technical experience equivalent to an Analyst I, Range

C.

Job Description and Duties

In addition to the responsibilities above, this section reiterates the ongoing PLP 2025 program requirements effective July 1, 2025, which reduce base salaries by 3% for eligible employees and provide 5 PLP 2025 leave credits monthly through June 2027. Salaries do not reflect these changes. Part-time and permanent intermittent employees are subject to the same conditions on a prorated basis.

Special Requirements:
Background Investigation is required prior to hire.

Minimum Requirements

The minimum qualifications are listed in the Class Specification for ANALYST II, including: four years of relevant experience and possible substitution with education; and an additional year of professional experience equivalent to Analyst I, Range

C.
