Procurement and Logistics Specialist

As Procurement Specialist, you will be responsible for order placement and order tracking, logistics plan and strategy, supplier management, vendor negotiation, managing purchase price variance (PPV), and optimizing lead times to maximize operational efficiency.

• Order Placement and Tracking:
  Maintaining accuracy within ERP system, ensuring accuracy of SKUs, quantities, unit price, lead times and Terms & Conditions.
• Vendor management:
  Managing production progress by providing weekly status updates to Operations teams.
• Communication:
  Proactively monitor any changes in orders and timely communication between vendors and internal relevant departments.
• Quality and receiving:
  Manage incoming/receiving ensuring accuracy of quantities and work with QC to resolve any quality issues with incoming shipments; negotiate with vendors to resolve quality issues identified by QC.
• Documentation and payments:
  Prepare necessary documentation for payment application and submit to Accounting Dept; ensure the accuracy and completeness of information in payment documents to facilitate smooth financial transactions.

• Create logistical plan and manage strategy.
• Evaluation and selection of most cost-saving/time-efficient shipping solutions.
• Manage & control shipping fees to within +/-5% budget.
• Maintain compliance and execution of all necessary export/import documents.
• Coordinate with vendors to consolidate goods in shipping containers to optimize shipping cost.

• Maintain an updated supplier database in ERP system.
• Evaluate supplier performance on monthly basis and provide supplier score cards to Operations.
• Establish and maintain strong relationships with Suppliers to facilitate effective communication and negotiation.

• Negotiate pricing, terms, and contracts with suppliers to ensure favorable agreements that align with company goals.
• Continuously assess vendor performance and identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements.

• Monitor and analyze purchase price variance, identifying the root causes of variances and implementing corrective actions.
• Work closely with vendors to address pricing discrepancies and negotiate cost reductions.
• Collaborate with finance and accounting teams to ensure accurate tracking and reporting of PPV metrics.

• Bachelor s degree in supply chain management, business, or a related field.
• Proven experience in demand planning, vendor negotiation, and supply chain management.
• Strong analytical and quantitative skills, with proficiency in forecasting tools and ERP systems.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional environment.
• Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and precision.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in procurement (preferably in RM) or a related role.
• Experience in negotiating contracts and agreements with vendors.
• Knowledge of supply chain best practices and industry trends.

The Pay Range For This Role Is 70,000 - 75,000 USD per year (Gale)
