Senior Business Development Director

Location: WEST COAST, US

Proteros are seeking a Senior Business Development Director with a strong technical background in early stage drug discovery to join the commercial team and drive growth in the West Coast. This individual contributor role will be responsible for developing and executing comprehensive business development strategies, utilizing their technical background, in order to expand Proteros ’ market presence on the West Coast.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement comprehensive business development strategies to expand Proteros' market presence on the West Coast.
  • Grow current business, identify and develop new business opportunities with pharmaceutical and biotech companies, leveraging a deep industry network.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure alignment with Proteros' goals and objectives, facilitating cross-functional cooperation.
  • Lead high-level negotiations and close deals that drive significant revenue growth.
  • Represent Proteros at major industry events, conferences, and meetings to enhance brand visibility and network with industry leaders.
Qualifications:
  • Strong technical expertise in the early stage drug development space; degree in a life science-related field.
  • Extensive network within the biotech and pharmaceutical industries, with ability to leverage these connections to sign business.
  • Deep understanding of early drug discovery processes, structural biology, proteins, biologics, biophysics, and integrated programs.
  • Exceptional communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proven ability to build and sustain strong professional relationships.
  • Highly self-motivated, results-driven, and capable of working independently.

Ability and willingness to travel domestically and internationally (Munich, Germany) up to 40-50% of the time.

Experience with in a customer facing role preferred.
