Overview

Job Title: Senior Procurement Specialist

Location: Sylmar, CA (Onsite)

Duration: 12 Months (Contract)

Shift Timings: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM

Job Summary:

The Senior Procurement Specialist will support the Strategic Procurement team by leading and contributing to procurement-focused project initiatives. This role combines procurement operations, data analysis, supplier engagement, and cross-functional collaboration to support supply chain initiatives. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, communication-savvy, and comfortable working in regulated environments.

Responsibilities
  • Lead and support procurement project initiatives aligned with strategic sourcing goals
  • Collect, analyze, and map supply chain data through manual data-gathering processes
  • Communicate directly with suppliers to collect, validate, and clarify procurement-related data
  • Analyze supplier and supply chain data to support decision-making and process improvements
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with internal stakeholders (Supply Chain, Operations, Finance, Engineering)
  • Simplify and communicate complex procurement and supply chain information to both internal teams and external suppliers
  • Support documentation and reporting activities using Excel and other tools
Required Qualifications
  • Minimum 2-3 years of experience in Procurement, Supply Chain, Data Analysis, or related roles
  • Experience interacting with suppliers and managing procurement-related communications
  • Strong Excel skills (Intermediate to Advanced)
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong organizational and project coordination abilities
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in Medical Devices or other regulated industries
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, Finance, Operations Management, Business Administration, or related field
  • Associate degree and/or relevant certifications will also be considered
  • Internship experience may be considered toward meeting experience requirements
