We currently have an opening for a full‑time Regional Business Manager based remotely in California.

Reporting to the National Sales Director of Pharmaceuticals, the Regional Business Manager is responsible for leading a regional sales team of Allergy Consultants whose objective is to drive sales growth and performance with ALK SLIT‑t products: (GRASTEK®, RAGWITEK®, ODACTRA®) and neffy®.

The Regional Business Manager is a critical leadership role. The role requires the ideal candidate to demonstrate a strong business acumen and possess excellent coaching and development skills. The ability to leverage existing relationships with Allergists, ENT’s, Pediatricians, and PCP’s to drive growth is preferred.

Your responsibility
  • Lead Regional Sales performance – demonstrated through attainment of business goals and sales results
  • Develop and implement strategies, and establish team business plans to: (1) achieve performance goals; ensure productivity and performance of the team and organization, (2) align and drive collaboration between Tablet and Bulk Extract Allergy Consultants, and (3) effectively allocate resources within regulatory and ethical guidelines
  • Maintain and develop strong relationships within the Allergy, ENT, and PCP medical community; engage and develop influential physician advocates
  • Initiate strategic partnerships with clinics, hospitals, physicians, and nurses
  • Ensure strategic and tactical execution of marketing plans
  • Account development with focus on business and customer needs
  • Partner with sales, marketing, and market access teams to proactively address market dynamics and trends by putting action plans in place
  • Optimize ALK’s overall sales force effectiveness, and execution of brand messaging and promotional programs
  • Coach and develop Allergy Consultants to include:
    • Modeling behaviors on sales calls, assessing needs, reviewing performance, and developing performance objectives (60-70% of time in the field)
    • Review and completion of field sales coaching reports
    • Develop team members who are capable of assuming additional future roles at ALK
  • Ensure the completion of administrative tasks by deadlines
  • Follow up on prioritized initiatives that drive business in both the short and long term
  • Cooperate and supporting colleagues through frequent communication
Your profile

Education Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in science, marketing, business, communication, or related field
Required Experience, Skills, and Qualifications
  • 4+ years of Sales Management experience in pharmaceutical, medical, or biotech sales
  • Demonstrated Leadership roles within a cross function team dynamic.
  • Proven respiratory experience and relationships with Allergists, ENT’s, Pediatricians and PCP’s
  • Success in leading a team, working a large geography, and managing complex systems
  • Successful record of hiring, coaching, developing, promoting, and retaining top talent within span of control
  • Proven ability and success in developing physician advocates within the respiratory market
  • Continuous self-development as it pertains to disease state, product knowledge, selling skills, and leadership skills
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, presentation and leadership skills.
  • Good Microsoft Office skills (Word, PowerPoint, and Excel)
