We are seeking a strategic and dynamic Director of Business Development to lead the growth and expansion of our PBM business. This individual will be responsible for developing and executing strategies to identify new business opportunities, cultivate relationships with key stakeholders, and drive long‑term revenue growth.
MUST BE LOCATED IN CALIFORNIA
Responsibilities- Develop and lead business development strategies focused on acquiring new clients.
- Conduct needs assessments and deliver compelling sales presentations tailored to the prospective client.
- Build and maintain a robust sales pipeline through cold calling, networking, referrals, and industry events.
- Identify, qualify, and pursue strategic partnership and sales opportunities that align with company goals.
- Build and manage strong relationships.
- Represent the company at industry conferences, networking events, and client meetings.
- Maintain deep knowledge of PBM trends, competitors, legislation, and market dynamics to inform go‑to‑market strategies.
- Monitor KPIs, forecasts, and pipeline reports to ensure performance targets are achieved.
- Bachelor's degree in business, Healthcare Administration, Marketing, or related field.
- 7-10+ years of progressive experience in business development, sales, or strategic partnerships within the PBM, healthcare, or managed care industries.
- Strong understanding of pharmacy benefit models, rebate contracting, clinical programs, and pharmacy claims data.
- Established network of industry relationships, including benefits consultants, TPAs, and HR decision‑makers.
- Exceptional leadership, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Experience with CRM platforms and data‑driven sales strategies.
- Willingness to travel up to 50% as needed.
