Regulatory Compliance Specialist
Under the direction of the Supervisor I (SUP) I, the Analyst II (AN) II performs at the full journey level, maintaining a high level of initiative and expertise to independently perform a variety of tasks relating to background investigations and peace officer personnel records. The AN II oversees the background investigation process, assists as needed with background investigations, and acts as the team lead for a team of retired annuitant background investigators.

- ANALYST II
In addition to evaluating each candidate's relative ability, as demonstrated by quality and breadth of experience, the following factors will provide the basis for competitively evaluating each candidate:
Strong analytical skills, good research skills, effective time management skills, and good attendance. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, organizational skills, and demonstrate attention to detail. Proven ability to exercise a high degree of confidentiality, initiative, responsibility, and independence. Ability to analyze issues and develop solutions. Work well under pressure and meet deadlines; possess integrity and the ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.
Ability to work both independently and as a team member; carry out prescribed tasks with minimal supervision; be a self-starter, flexible, and have a positive attitude. Excellent computer skills using Microsoft Excel, Word, Visio, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
