Overview
This is an interview position. To provide extensive customs brokerage services in accordance with Canada Customs and other government departments (OGD) regulations and legislation pertaining to international trade; including high and low value (HVS/LVS) entry processing and customer consulting.

Post secondary:
- Community College Diploma/Equivalent
- Professional accreditation/certification
Minimum number of years required for entry to this job
- 2 years current customs brokerage experience OR
- 2 years current rating and international experience OR
Other specific mandatory experience requirements - Incumbents must maintain their CCS designation when in this position. Must achieve annual recurrency points.
Technical Skill RequirementsSolid knowledge of the following:
- Excellent Mathematical Skills
- Knowledge of Fed Ex operations
- Knowledge of International Customs documentation and regulations
- In-depth knowledge of customs, agriculture, food and drug, tariff and valuation laws and other government department laws and policies
- Demonstrated knowledge of different agency clearance requirements and release processes
- Excel - Basic
- Minimum of 25 wpm on data entry alpha numeric testing (preferred)
- Must have the ability to lift 70 lbs and maneuver packages up to 150 lbs with appropriate equipment if located at ports: YQG, YOW, YEG, YWG, YYC, YMX

If the incumbent resides in the province of Quebec, you must be bilingual (French and English). In addition to the usual factors used in the selection process, all candidates for positions that require driving as a core competency require a valid driver’s license (e.g. Class 5, G, or 1 [AZ]) and a driving record with two or fewer violations and/or accidents in the 24 months prior to the date of application.
Further, candidates will be assessed through careful consideration of:
1) current driver’s abstract;
2) performance during application interviews; and
3) performance on any driver competency assessments administered.
