Position Overview

As a Used Car Technician, you will perform mechanical inspections, diagnose issues, execute repairs, and help recondition vehicles for retail readiness. This is a key role in our recon pipeline and directly supports the success of Gary Crossley Ford's pre-owned department.
Responsibilities

• Perform full mechanical inspections on incoming used vehicles.
• Diagnose engine, transmission, brake, suspension, and electrical concerns.
• Complete required repairs and maintenance to bring vehicles to retail-ready condition.
• Document all findings and repair notes accurately.
• Work efficiently within established recon timelines and productivity goals.
• Communicate with recon managers and service advisors regarding required work.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of automotive technician experience (dealership or used-car recon preferred).
• Strong diagnostic abilities and attention to detail.
• Ability to manage repair tasks in a high-volume recon environment.
• Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record.
• ASE certifications preferred but not required.
