Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Automotive Technician with a minimum of 8 years experience to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in automotive repair and maintenance, demonstrating proficiency in diagnosing issues and performing repairs on various vehicle systems. This role requires a commitment to providing excellent service while ensuring customer satisfaction and safety.
Duties
- Diagnose and repair automotive issues, including engine, transmission, brake systems, and air brake components.
- Perform routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes, tire rotations, and fluid checks.
- Conduct brake, exhaust repairs and tire services efficiently and effectively.
- Utilize diagnostic equipment (Autel) to assess vehicle performance and identify problems.
- Maintain accurate records of repairs performed and parts used.
- Provide exceptional customer service by communicating clearly with staff about the vehicle needs.
- Upsell additional services or products when appropriate to enhance customer satisfaction.
- Perform DVI inspections.
Skills
- Proficient in automotive repair techniques and practices, including diagnostics, brake, exhaust repair, and tire service.
- Strong diagnostic skills with the ability to transmit findings clearly to staff and customers if needed.
- Experience in sales or upselling automotive services is a plus.
- Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with customers and team members.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
- Knowledge of safety protocols related to automotive repair is essential.
- RI state inspector certification is a plus.
