This is a 12‑month limited term position with the possibility of being extended or made permanent.

Responsibilities
  • Provide analytical support for procuring office equipment and supplies; collect/analyze data, develop recommendations and options; provide budget analysis for shared services, space planning, facilities and telecom requests.
  • Gather, organize, review, analyze and make recommendations to HR management on fiscal information pertaining to administration and maintenance of the SCO HR Budget; prepare and make projections; adjust and review projections for submission to the SCO Budget Office; monitor and track expenditures and forecast for potential overages.
  • Use FI$Cal system to submit/initiate procurement activities, receive and verify supplies against invoices, prepare and submit purchase orders with proper documentation, research and resolve invoicing issues, and coordinate with the Department Accounting Office in compliance with State Administrative Manual (SAM) regulations.
  • Act as contact for directing and coordinating the procurement of contracted services for HR management in compliance with SAM; work with HR management to develop scope of work, budgets, contracting exhibits and other key documents.
  • Prepare contract documents for management review and approval; liaise with the SCO Contract Office staff; track and monitor executed contracts; participate in vendor meetings when requested.
  • Serve as the SCO contact for scheduling and conducting Live Scan fingerprinting; coordinate appointments with Division contacts, meet candidates in‑person to roll prints via the DOJ system, and process DOJ documents for contractor staff who are out of the area.
  • Provide support to the SCO HR Reception Desk with tasks such as answering and routing calls, mail runs, sorting and stamping, document filing, etc.
  • Serve as Attendance Coordinator; assist staff and leaders with correcting timesheet issues and errors; maintain understanding of timesheet processing procedures.
  • Coordinate HR training requests, verify funding availability and assist with registration and payment processing for training fees.
  • Act as the HR Office Information and Asset Retention Coordinator, maintaining division asset files in accordance with the SCO and California Code of Regulations (CCR) Information Asset Retention Policy.
Working Conditions

This position is located at the Emerald Tower on Capitol Mall, a short walk from the State Capitol. The building offers affordable monthly parking, employee gym access, an amenities center, and a garden terrace. The office is within walking distance of Old Sacramento, restaurants, a seasonal farmer’s market, and the Crocker Art Museum, and is accessible via Sacramento Regional Transit’s light rail and bus systems, as well as I‑5, I‑80, US 50 and US 99.
Eligible for hybrid telework under California Government Code Section 14200 for eligible applicants residing in California.

  • ANALYST I – $3,861.00 – $4,839.00 (Category A)
  • ANALYST I – $4,181.00 – $5,233.00 (Category B)
  • ANALYST I – $5,014.00 – $6,276.00 (Category C)
