Job Posting: Gates and Admissions Coordinator
Location: California Exposition and State Fair, Sacramento (In Office)
Job Classification: ANALYST I (JC‑510120)
Salary: $3,861.00 – $6,276.00 per month (state minimum schedule applicable for new to state candidates)
Work Week: Wednesday – Sunday (including nights and holidays)
Work Shift: Nights and weekends included
The incumbent reports to the Parking and Admissions Manager and is responsible for coordinating, scheduling, and directing gates and admissions staff. The role involves collection and allocation of money at admission gates and overall gate operations for various public attractions at Cal Expo.
Responsibilities- Coordinate, schedule, and direct gates and admissions staff.
- Oversee collection and allocation of money at admission gates.
- Ensure efficient gate operations during public attractions.
- Periodic overtime.
- May be required to respond after work hours.
- Prolonged periods of sitting, standing, bending, and lifting.
- Exposure to extreme temperatures, airborne dust, fumes, vapors, chemicals, medical waste, and blood borne pathogens.

Desirable Qualifications- Minimum of 1 year of admissions and ticket control experience.
- Exceptional writing and verbal skills; problem solving under pressure.
- Exceptional customer service skills in a high‑volume venue.
- Knowledge of ETIX ticketing system and basic data analysis tools.
- Ability to multi‑task, adapt to changes in priorities, and complete tasks and projects on short notice.
- Ability to stand for long periods, walk throughout the facility, and lift up to 50 lbs.
