Client: Manufacturing Company
Location: City of Industry
Position: Direct Hire
Shift: Monday – Friday from 7:00am – 3:30pm
Salary: $21 – $25/hour (Depending on experience)
Duties for this position include, but are not limited to:
- Serve as an administrative support resource for the Drafting Department and act as point of communication for drafting activity, job status, and order processing.
- Track drafting job progress, monitor order status updates, and communicate timelines to drafters, group leaders, and the Drafting Manager.
- Maintain and organize the department’s job reference files, including pulling, scanning, uploading, and archiving files as requested.
- Update and manage the department’s database of job completion status for drafting orders.
- Assist with monitoring and maintaining drafting specific office supplies, coordinating purchasing as needed.
- Assist with data entry and record keeping of trailer orders and drafting documentation.
- Communicate with group leaders and drafters to determine the status of jobs in progress.
- Assist with daily scanning, filing, and digital distribution of job packets to factories.
- Communicate with the Sales department to obtain missing information, clarify order details, or resolve discrepancies.
- Other duties as assigned.
Ideal candidates should possess the following skills/qualifications demonstrated through previous work experience:
- At least two years of office/administrative experience required.
- High school diploma or equivalent required. Additional education and certifications preferred.
- Ability to take initiative, accept responsibility, work independently, and follow directions.
- Complete tasks in an efficient and timely manner.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
