DEFINITIONPerforms specialized clerical duties.
CLASSIFICATION STANDARDS- Administers full range of daily unit operations, including creating Excel reports, intricate data entry, and filing reports.
- Maintains a uniform workflow by prioritizing information requests and completing rush assignments.
- Provides clerical support for the assigned unit.
- Reviews documents for completeness, accuracy, and compliance with legal and other requirements.
- Operates office machines such as personal computer, printers, fax, and copy machines.
- Demonstrates dependability and flexibility in meeting/scheduling unit needs and special projects.
- Complies with confidentiality and security of sensitive information.
- Orders, maintains, and organizes supplies and equipment for unit use.
- Other duties may be assigned.
- Option I:
Six (6) months of office clerical experience within the County of Los Angeles or its districts. - Option II:
One (1) year of office clerical experience outside the County of Los Angeles. - Option III: A certificate or Associate of Arts degree in clerical procedures or office administration from an accredited college or university.*
- Must meet one of the above options to be considered for any vacancy related to this recruitment.
- Part‑time work will be prorated on a month‑for‑month basis.

LICENSEValid California Class C driver license or ability to use alternative transportation for essential functions.
PHYSICAL CLASS II – LIGHTRequires occasional light lifting up to 10 pounds, bending, stooping, squatting, and considerable ambulation.
