GENERAL PURPOSE:

The Loan Operations Associate is an administrative role responsible for completing standardized operational tasks within the loan lifecycle. This position focuses on accurate data entry, system updates, document management, and status maintenance within internal loan systems. The role is primarily execution-based, with limited internal communication and little to no direct interaction with clients or external parties. Performance is measured by accuracy, productivity, turnaround time, and adherence to established metrics and service-level standards.

In this position, you will:

  • Complete assigned administrative tasks related to loan files, including data entry, document uploads, and system updates
  • Accurately updates the Loan Operating System (LOS) and related tools to reflect current loan status, milestones, and required data fields
  • Manage assigned work queues and tasks to ensure timely completion within defined service-level agreements (SLAs)
  • Index, label, and organize documentation in accordance with established standards and naming conventions
  • Ensure loan records are complete, accurate, and consistently reflected across internal systems
  • Execute checklist-driven tasks with a high level of attention to detail and consistency
  • Identify missing, incomplete, or inconsistent information and flags items for review following documented procedures
  • Meet or exceed individual productivity, quality, and turnaround-time metrics
  • Follow standard operating procedures, job aids, and workflows without deviation
  • Maintain compliance with internal policies, regulatory requirements, and data security standards
  • Use internal dashboards, reports, and tools to track progress and task completion
  • Adjust work pace as needed to meet daily and monthly operational demands
  • Participate in required training to learn systems, processes, and performance expectations
  • Escalate system issues, exceptions, or task blockers to leadership as directed
  • Perform additional administrative or operational duties as assigned to support loan operations
  • This position may involve handling confidential and sensitive information as part of its daily responsibilities. Employees are expected to exercise discretion and protect all sensitive data, including but not limited to personal information, loan details, business and financial records, and proprietary materials.
Requirements

Successful candidates will possess:

  • High school or GED required, associate’s degree or higher preferred.
  • Entry-level role; prior administrative, data entry, or operations experience preferred but not required
  • Experience working in a production- or metric-driven environment preferred
  • Working knowledge of MS Office, specifically Outlook.
  • Exposure to workflow systems, databases, or loan operating systems (LOS) preferred
