Position Overview
Travel Desk Coordinator / Accounting Officer (Specialist)
Salary: $5,266.00 – $6,591.00 per month. New to State candidates will be hired into the minimum salary of the classification or minimum of the alternate range where applicable.

- Perform semi‑professional accounting work, establishing and maintaining accounts and records for specialized agency activities and departmental systems.
- Maintain a segment of the accounting function for the State Department (e.g., reimbursements).
- Process travel‑related reimbursements and billing, vendor/contractor payments, and interpret contracts and inter‑agency agreements.
- Lead and collaborate under pressure, meet deadlines, manage multiple assignments, and contribute effectively to a team environment.
- Experience with Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, CalATERS, and Fi$Cal.
- Knowledge and experience with interpreting contracts, inter‑agency agreements, and processing travel‑related reimbursements and billing.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, punctuality, good attendance, positive attitude, self‑motivation, and leadership capability.
- Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines, and handle multiple assignments.
