Position Summary: Student Support Services is seeking a Part-Time Office Assistant to support administrative operations and provide tutoring services.

Essential Functions: This role involves approximately 80% office work and 20% tutoring, offering an opportunity to contribute to the college community while assisting students in their academic and college life journey. All the necessary training will be provided.

Key Responsibilities Office Work (80%)
  • Serve as a front desk greeter, providing a welcoming and professional first point of contact for students, staff, and visitors.
  • Perform filing and organization of paperwork to maintain accurate and accessible records.
  • Complete data entry for services offered in an electronic database.
  • Assist with general cleaning and upkeep of office spaces to ensure a tidy work environment.
  • Operate office equipment, including paper shredders, printers, and log-in computers, to support daily operations.
  • Support students in navigating college life, including guidance on resources, processes, and campus services.
  • Provide tutoring assistance with course-related material based on the employee’s knowledge and expertise.
  • Foster a supportive and encouraging environment to help students succeed academically.
Qualifications
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and interact professionally.
  • Basic computer literacy and willingness to learn office equipment.
  • Enthusiasm for helping students and supporting their academic success.
  • Prior office or tutoring experience is a plus but not required.
Work Schedule
  • Approximately 20 hours per week, with a flexible schedule to be determined based on college needs and employee availability.
