Accounting Manager

Century Group is partnering with a client that is seeking a Grower Accounting Manager to join their team. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location. Expected starting base salary of $100,000 to $120,000 per year.

• Oversee grower accounting activities including advances, payables settlements and shared cost allocation.
• Maintain grower related financial records by preparing reports, cash flow projections, reconciliations and supporting schedules.
• Monitor grower payments including pass through activity, supply breakouts, billings and settlement processing.
• Support audits, financing efforts and process improvement initiatives by providing accurate documentation and insights.
• Supervise team members by offering guidance, oversight and performance feedback while assisting with daily tasks and special projects.

• A Bachelor degree in accounting, finance, business administration or a related field.
• 4+ years of experience in accounting or finance with preference for experience in agriculture, farming or produce related industries.
• Understand general ledger structure, accounting practices, internal controls and process improvement concepts.
• Use Excel at an advanced level for analysis, reporting and reconciliation.
• Work confidently in an enterprise resource planning system and manage data accurately.

• Prepare and process vouchers, payments, settlements and activity tied to grower relationships.
• Research supply related variances, develop solutions and ensure accuracy across grower accounts.
• Manage multiple priorities in a fast paced environment while meeting deadlines and maintaining attention to detail.
• Apply strong analytical and problem solving abilities to support financial decision making.
• Maintain organized records, strong communication and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
