Location: Chesterfield

A great UHY client is seeking an Interim Part-Time Bookkeeper to support day-to-day accounting and operational finance activities for a growing multinational manufacturing company. This role is highly hands‑on and transactional, with responsibility across invoicing, accounts payable, bookkeeping, and general financial support. This is a great opportunity for a detail‑oriented professional who enjoys part‑time work and working independently in a small, fast‑paced environment with international exposure.

The Interim Part-Time Bookkeeper role is fully onsite in Chesterfield, MI
, working 2–3 days per week (approximately 16–24 hours). This is an interim/contract position with competitive hourly compensation based on experience.

Interim Part-Time Bookkeeper – Duties & Essential Functions
  • Maintain accurate and up‑to‑date financial records in Quick Books
  • Record and reconcile daily transactions, including cash, credit cards, and bank accounts
Invoicing & Accounts Receivable
  • Prepare and issue customer invoices, including domestic and international billing
  • Ensure accuracy of pricing, quantities, and shipping documentation
  • Track accounts receivable and follow up on outstanding balances
  • Apply customer payments and resolve invoice discrepancies
Accounts Payable
  • Process vendor invoices and expense reports
  • Match invoices to purchase orders and receiving documentation
  • Prepare and process weekly or bi‑weekly payments
  • Maintain vendor records and respond to vendor inquiries
Administrative & General Support
  • Maintain organized financial and operational records
  • Support management with ad hoc reporting and data requests
  • 3+ years of bookkeeping or accounting experience, preferably in manufacturing or distribution
  • Strong working knowledge of Quick Books
  • Experience with invoicing, accounts payable, and basic reconciliations
  • High attention to detail and strong organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently and manage priorities within a part‑time schedule
