Accounts Receivable Specialist

Location: Chesterfield

Description We are looking for a skilled Accounts Receivable Specialist to join our team in Chesterfield, Missouri. In this role, you will be responsible for managing financial transactions, ensuring accurate record-keeping, and maintaining positive relationships with clients. This position requires a detail-oriented individual with strong organizational abilities and a solid understanding of accounting principles.

Responsibilities:

- Oversee and manage accounts receivable processes, ensuring timely and accurate collection of payments.

- Handle commercial collections, maintaining effective communication with clients to resolve payment discrepancies.

- Process and apply cash payments accurately to appropriate accounts.

- Collaborate with the billing department to ensure invoices are correctly generated and distributed.

- Monitor outstanding balances and follow up on overdue accounts.

- Assist in the preparation and reconciliation of financial statements related to receivables.

- Perform general accounting tasks to support overall financial operations.

- Coordinate with accounts payable teams to maintain accurate records of transactions.

- Establish and maintain positive relationships with customers to facilitate smooth financial operations. Requirements - Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounts receivable or related roles.

- Proficiency in handling commercial collections and cash applications.

- Strong knowledge of billing functions and accounts payable processes.

- Familiarity with general accounting principles and practices.

- Excellent organizational and time management skills.

- Ability to communicate effectively with clients and internal teams.

- High level of accuracy and attention to detail in financial data management.

- Proficiency in relevant accounting software or tools.
