Accounts Payable Specialist

Job Description

We have an immediate opportunity for an Accounts Payable Specialist near Ontario, CA. This position requires strong organizational skills and the ability to multi-task and support multiple teams. This is a hybrid position that requires two days in the office.

• Follow multiple invoicing processes for multiple vendors
• Process invoices, track and analyze rejected invoices, work with internal team to ensure accuracy and processes are followed
• Ability to lead meetings with internal and external teams utilizing management system datasets to analyze trends and confirm accuracy of invoices
• Ability to meet schedules and deadlines is required
• Requires high attention to detail
• Experience reconciling invoices while applying advanced analytical and data interpretation skills for the purpose of assessing and monitoring
• Will serve as primary point of contact for assigned vendors
• Ability to facilitate clear communication and promote follow up and resolution
• Collaborate with team members to optimize workflow and support to ensure compliance with invoice process
• Knowledge and ability to recommend opportunities for process improvements to aid with the efficiency and effectiveness of the operation

• High School Diploma or Equivalent
• Minimum of 3 to 5 years of Accounts Payable experience
• Intermediate to Advanced skills with Microsoft Excel using formulas, VLOOKUP, and Pivot Tables
• MS Office Programs experience also required (i.e. Word, Outlook, Project, Power Point)
• Experience using SAP, Ariba desired or other similar platforms
• Experience with vendor management systems
• High degree of accuracy, attention to detail and problem solving with the ability to prioritize
• Possess strong communication skills (written/verbal)
• Excellent at relationship building skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Project/program management experience desired
• Utility experience desired

Compensation based on experience.
