Senior Accountant

Overview

We re seeking an experienced Senior Accountant for our client! This person will manage complex accounting functions, month-end close, financial reporting, and analysis across a multi-site environment. This role partners closely with leadership to ensure accurate financial statements, strong internal controls, and compliance with GAAP.

• Manage month-end close, including journal entries and account reconciliations
• Prepare and support balance sheet and income statement schedules
• Record rental income, ancillary income, and reconcile cash receipts
• Prepare monthly bank and security deposit reconciliations
• Maintain fixed assets, depreciation, amortization, and prepaid expenses
• Accrue and record payroll, property taxes, utilities, debt service, and other liabilities
• Analyze and record bad debt, prepaid rent, and deferred income
• Perform budget-to-actual variance analysis with explanations
• Prepare monthly financial reports for investors and lenders
• Support forecasting, cash flow analysis, and quarterly consolidations
• Assist with annual budgeting and year-end audits
• Ensure compliance with GAAP and internal accounting policies
• Partner with leadership on accounting procedures and process improvements

• Bachelor s degree in Accounting
• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience
• 3+ years of multi-site healthcare or similar complex environment experience
• Intercompany accounting experience required
• Strong knowledge of GAAP, payroll, and tax regulations
• Advanced Excel skills; accounting system experience preferred (Yardi a plus)
• Exceptional analytical, organizational, and multitasking abilities
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
