Overview
A fast-paced retail company is seeking an Interim Senior Accountant with month end close. This role is highly hands-on and ideal for someone who can jump in quickly, own key close areas end-to-end, and partner across AP, AR, FP&A, and Operations to keep things moving.
Responsibilities- Prepare & record journal entries, reconciliations, flux analysis, and support schedules
- Prepare and maintain reconciliations for key balance sheet accounts (accrued expenses, prepaid expenses, fixed assets, payroll-related accounts, intercompany, etc.)
- Build and maintain close documentation, schedules, and tie-outs to improve audit readiness.
- Support interim/annual audit and SOX (if applicable): respond to PBC requests, provide evidence, and explain account movements.
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field
- Proficiency in Excel (pivot tables, XLOOKUP/INDEX-MATCH, complex reconciliations); ERP experience required (Net Suite, SAP, Oracle, Dynamics, etc.).
- Accounting experience; retail, eCommerce, or consumer products experience strongly preferred.
